Vulnerability context of JARDIM GRAMACHO

Jardim Gramacho is a community of roughly 20,000 living through the loss of the biggest industry in the area: Latin America’s largest landfill, which closed in 2012. In order to understand the impact of this loss as well as assess the particular position of children and education in the community, a household survey of 176 households was completed, supplemented by evidence from semi-structured interviews and psycho-metric scales used with 133 primary school-aged children.”
